As designer/art director, I lead the UX/UI of the micro-site, working with the agency team to create a literal representation of the rainforest, indicating how creatures inhabit different levels of the forest canopy. We wanted to the site to be both educational and entertaining for both parents and children — as you scroll-down, the Cotton Top Tamarin monkey, the zoo's featured exhibit, moves with the cursor, up and down the trees, revealing each animal in their native habitat.
The site garnered over 405,000 hits and attracted record visitation — more than 1.5 MM visitors in less than one year.  The website www.lazoo.org/rainforest won an Addy for UX/UI design.
